Absence Part 1 Project 2022 Cheng Luo Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University | China From the Critique of Pure Reason of Kant, Sublime is described as limitless. The subjective psychological world of human is intended to imagine the absence rather than the presence.Being inspired by the ruination archive from the picturesque time, the contradictory smallness and weakness is interpreted as the fragility of the time in this irreversible entropy increase reality. Ruins reveals the evidence of human's existence and also contains the power that can not be delivered by aesthetic value.Manifesto is to create an architecture as a ruin itself, the temporary existence elaborates the very uncertainty because the time and space are represented paradoxically which is far from what we normally acknowledged. The undefined reality guided people to independently re-explain this location, history, future or even their life. Eventually the perception of audience becomes the thread to excavate reality between the presence and absence. The fragility of the time should be presented as the Anthropocene comes to an end which the volcano remains the same and the potentiality is infinite after countless periods of time. Consequently, when the presence of human exists, the impactful dismantling process proceed. The more panels are removing and the reflection occurs on the ground the more sensations of absence is enhanced by time. Tutor(s) Juan Carlos Dall'Asta
