Part 1 Project 2024

Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University | China
This project delves into the intricate relationship between the individual and society, focusing on the dynamics of power and the autonomy of the individual. It examines how power influences and controls individuals, shaping their thoughts through mechanisms such as intellectual beliefs. The project emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and critical reflection.

The site is located on Changxing Island in Shanghai, a desolate place meeting only basic material needs. This museum aims to evoke reflection among visitors by exploring various levels of spiritual fulfillment. The goal is for visitors to become aware of diverse global perspectives, enabling them to make life choices that are both heartfelt and intellectually justified.

Inspired by ""Brave New World,"" this museum aims to evoke reflection on the psychological fulfillment of society through four categories of people, each representing different pursuits and desires to transcend their social classes. These diverse wills keep society in constant motion. The world operates continuously, and while museums symbolize eternity, the eternal state of humanity can be interpreted as artifacts on display. Through this exploration, the museum seeks to illustrate how individual aspirations and societal dynamics intertwine, prompting visitors to reflect on their own place within this perpetual cycle.
