Materialising Memory: Strategies For Remembrance Part 2 Project 2019 Camilo Eduardo Espitia Garcia Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University | China The monolithic structure explores the process in which the Colombian collective is memorialised through commemorative spaces that use matter, light and performance as elements that recall memory. The proposal responds to the need for a symbolic reparation of the Colombian conflict and to the notion of construction of memory to avoid the continuation and repetition of violent acts. To make visible and experience the conflict allows the proliferation of knowledge and empathy towards so many affected by the war for so many years.
